About Monique Handlettering...
Monique Hand Lettering is beautiful handwritten lettering that Monique Cannon, the creator of chalk art, has honed over the years.
Monique kept thinking about lettering that would go well with chalk art, and finally came up with her own style of letters. It took a lot of trial and error before she created her current lettering. I am grateful every day for sharing Monique's precious letters with me, and I hope to spread the joy of hand lettering to many people.
Hand lettered menu boards and interior boards can create a wonderful atmosphere in your cafe or restaurant.
It is also possible to combine it with chalk art for work.
I was Monique's first hand lettering student in August 2016, and learned the technique directly from her in Australia. Lettering is a precious skill that Monique has always cherished and nurtured. It was a truly valuable experience to be able to learn it from her.
The lessons were hard every day, but since it was Monique's first lesson, she was able to incorporate my ideas and we came up with the certificate design together, so I was really happy to be able to take a new step with her.
My hard work has been recognised and I am now able to offer the world's first hand lettering course.
Monique Hand Lettering Course
Official course where you will be issued a certificate as a hand lettering artist
You can learn everything from the basics to advanced techniques of hand lettering.
Anyone who is a beginner can take this class. (Even if you have never studied chalk art, you can take this class.)
After completing the basic course, you can take the advanced course. After completing the advanced course, you will be issued a certificate.
Trial Lesson
Course fee: 3,000 yen (2 hours)
This lesson will allow you to experience and enjoy the charm of hand lettering.
After practicing lettering on black paper, you will write on a black board. There are patterns so you can start right away.
Foundation Course
■Time: 15 hours in total (2.5 hours per lesson)
You will take 6 lessons (2.5 hours x 6 = 15 hours).
*We recommend taking classes at least once a month (to improve your skills).
■ Tuition: 54,000 yen (1 lesson: 9,000 yen)
*Textbook costs 10,000 yen.
Advanced Course
■Time: 20 hours in total (2.5 hours per lesson)
You will take 6 lessons (2.5 hours x 8 = 20 hours).
*We recommend taking classes at least once a month (to improve your skills).
■ Tuition: 72,000 yen (1 lesson: 9,000 yen)
*The certificate fee is 11,000 yen.
